大外部目前分为常规和拓展教研室，由资深教授、副教授、讲师和外教组成，其中博士（含在读）7人。大外教师具有丰富的外语教育理念和改革创新意识，潜心教书育人，学评教在全校公共课名列前茅。助力打造“金课”，培养具有宽广的国际视野、扎实语言功底、将外语和其他学科专业相融合的跨学科背景的复合型外语人才。积极从事教研和科研，成果丰富。近五年，获多项省部级和市厅级教改与课题立项，在权威和核心学术期刊发表学术、教研论文多篇，出版教材多部，开发多门在线课程，获多项国家、省市级教研奖励和教学奖。在指导学生国家级、省级各项大学英语竞赛中成绩突出，屡屡斩获大奖。积极开展教研和学术交流，与国内外兄弟院校深入互动。“善之本在于教，教之本在于师”，大外教师将不忘初心、牢记使命，全力服务学校专业人才培养，助推高水平本科教育。

The Foreign Language Teaching Department For Non-Majors at Wenzhou University has a well-structured faculty team, including professors, associate professors, lecturers and foreign experts. Currently, we offer language courses in English and Japanese to both undergraduate and graduate students whose major is not English.

To ensure the quality and efficiency of foreign language teaching, the faculty is dedicated to refining their teaching approaches and incorporating prevailing instructional technologies into their courses. In recent years, the department has seen an increase in the number of publications in prestigious journals and has been awarded prizes for its pedagogical and research achievements. Such honors have been bestowed not only by the university but also from collaborative opportunities with other universities home and abroad and have successfully started a number of pedagogical and academic exchange programs.

Our core mission is to enhance the instruction of English and Japanese at Wenzhou University and to prepare our students to become global citizens, providing them with the necessary tools to advance into leadership positions.
